We do not sell your personal information for money. Some third-party advertising integrations may involve "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by California law — you can opt out as described in Section 12. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With third-party vendors who assist in operating the Service. These currently include: Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (account authentication and database hosting), Mux (video streaming and playback analytics), Vercel (application hosting and performance analytics), and Google (analytics and advertising services), and Resend (transactional email delivery), and Anthropic (AI features, where you submit text to AI-powered tools). Each provider is contractually required to protect your information with safeguards that are the same as or equal to those described in this policy, and may only use it to provide services to us.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request.
• Protection of Rights: To protect the rights, property, or safety of VERZA TV, our users, or others.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.

We use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to collect usage data, remember your preferences, and analyze how the Service is used. Third-party analytics providers (such as Google Analytics) may also collect information about your use of the Service. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, though some features of the Service may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may also retain certain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support business operations. When personal information is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

10. Account & Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the Service: open your Profile page and tap Delete Account. Deletion removes your account, profile, watch history, saved list, push notification subscriptions, and access to purchases, and cannot be undone. You may also request deletion by emailing privacy@verzatv.com from your account email; we process such requests within 30 days. Records of completed financial transactions may be retained where required for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes.

11. Push Notifications

With your permission, we may send push notifications (for example, to resume an episode you were watching or announce new releases). You can withdraw this permission at any time in your device or browser notification settings, or from the Profile page; doing so deletes the associated push subscription token.

12. Advertising & Tracking

The Service displays sponsored content and may use third-party advertising services. Where our iOS application would track your activity across other companies' apps or websites, we will first request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, and we honor your choice. We do not sell your personal information; California residents may nonetheless opt out of any "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising by emailing privacy@verzatv.com.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other means. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
